Rev. Fabian Keith Jacko is the son of the late Albert and Albertha Jacko. The Port Arthur, Texas, native accepted his call to the gospel ministry in 1975 at the age of 15. Graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1977, he later became pastor of his home church, St. John Baptist Church, in 1979.
Rev. Jacko became the first pastor of the Greater Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, in 2001. Greater Golden Gate, organized in 2000, has been lauded as the fastest growing church in East Dallas. The church's membership has doubled since its inception to more than 700 members.
Rev. Jacko served as pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, from 1986-2001. His ministry in the Central Texas Area was highlighted by serving as moderator of Union Baptist District Association in Waco and as president of the Baptist Ministers Union of Waco and McLennan County.
Active in the Waco community, he served on the board of directors of the Central Texas Senior Ministry (Meals On Wheels), the United Way, Waco Vision 2000 and many other boards and commissions. He received the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority's Minister of the Year Award in 2001.
He is a member of the North Texas District Association, the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas and the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. He serves on the Evangelical Board at both the state and national conventions.
Known as a gifted singer, Rev. Jacko has recorded with the Greater Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, and with Chester D.T. Baldwin and the Music Ministry Mass Choir in Austin, Texas. He is highly sought out for church and city-wide revivals throughout the United States.
Along his journey, Rev. Jacko has attended Texas Christian University, Lamar University and Baylor University. He received a master of theology degree from Guadalupe Baptist Seminary.
Rev. Jacko and his wife, Penny, have four sons.
